Beston's Cape Cod Events
Cod National Seashore walk
hearty souls joined Don Wilding (kneeling in front) at Coast
Guard Beach in Eastham on Oct. 2, 2003 for a two-hour walk.
The walkers were greeted by steady rain showers, but the
weather broke in time for the start of the event. Wilding
talked about the legacy of Henry Beston and The Outermost
House, then signed copies of his book at the conclusion
of the walk. This is the second time Wilding has led such
an event this year. Dana Eldridge, author of Cape Cod
Lucky and Once Upon Cape Cod, was the accompanying
Cape Cod National Seashore ranger.
